Podiatry
Full-scope podiatric medicine and surgery from our doctor of podiatric medicine, covering everything from routine foot care to reconstructive procedures.
Our specialty-trained doctors evaluate, diagnose, and treat the full range of podiatry conditions and injuries — always starting with the most conservative effective option, and offering advanced surgical care when it's needed.
Care is available at both our Torrington and Bristol offices, with on-site X-ray, physical and occupational therapy, and many procedures performed at the Litchfield Hills Surgery Center.
Common conditions we treat
- Bunions, hammertoes, and deformities — progressive changes that make walking and footwear painful
- Heel pain and plantar fasciitis — the most common reason patients see a podiatrist
- Ingrown toenails and skin conditions — painful but very treatable in the office
- Diabetic foot care — preventive care, wound management, and protective strategies
- Foot and ankle trauma — fractures and complex injuries handled surgically when needed
How we treat them
Treatment always starts with the most conservative effective option. Depending on your condition, your plan may include:
- Office-based procedures for nails, skin, and minor conditions
- Custom orthotics, prescribed and managed on site
- Reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, including total joint replacement and complex trauma
- Coordinated care with our orthopedic surgeons and therapists
When to see a doctor
Routine foot care matters more than most people think — especially with diabetes, where a small problem caught early prevents a serious one. See us for any foot pain that changes your walking, wounds that won't heal, or deformities that are getting worse.
