Pain Management

Non-surgical options for chronic pain, including spinal injections, targeted therapy, and integrative approaches to reduce pain and restore function.

Our specialty-trained doctors evaluate, diagnose, and treat the full range of pain management conditions and injuries — always starting with the most conservative effective option, and offering advanced surgical care when it's needed.

Care is available at both our Torrington and Bristol offices, with on-site X-ray, physical and occupational therapy, and many procedures performed at the Litchfield Hills Surgery Center.

Common conditions we treat

  • Chronic low back and neck pain — persistent spine pain that hasn't responded to initial treatment
  • Sciatica and radiating nerve pain — pain traveling into the arms or legs from spinal nerve irritation
  • Joint pain from arthritis — hips, knees, and shoulders that hurt daily
  • Post-injury pain — discomfort that outlasts the original injury

How we treat them

Treatment always starts with the most conservative effective option. Depending on your condition, your plan may include:

  • Spinal injections — epidural steroid injections and nerve blocks performed at our surgery center
  • Joint injections for arthritis pain
  • Coordinated therapy programs to build lasting function, not just temporary relief
  • Newer options including integrative dry needling and regenerative therapy

When to see a doctor

If pain has lasted more than a few months, limits your activity, or has you relying on medication daily, a structured pain-management evaluation can open options you haven't tried. You don't have to accept chronic pain as permanent without a real diagnosis.
