Dr. Lane Spero earned his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship and his orthopedic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in the Bronx, followed by a spine surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
He previously served as Chief of Spine and Scoliosis Service at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York, is affiliated with the University of Connecticut, and has authored professional articles on spine injury and surgery. Dr. Spero is among the few orthopedic surgeons in Connecticut performing total lumbar disc replacement, and offers minimally invasive, robotic-assisted cervical and lumbar procedures using state-of-the-art navigation technology.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been peer-nominated as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for multiple consecutive years and named among Connecticut Magazine's Best Doctors.
